Book of Mormon given as a tender mercy from the Lord

I wish to speak about how the Book of Mormon, which is a tender mercy of the Lord preserved for these latter days, delivers us by teaching us in a pure and “most correct” way the doctrine of Christ.- Elder L. Tom Perry

Be Grateful for Tender Mercies We Receive From Day to Day

We should be grateful for all the tender mercies that come into our lives. We are unaware of hosts of blessings that we receive from day to day. It is extremely important that we have a spirit of gratitude in our hearts.- Elder Quentin L. Cook

Her Infinite Worth

A worthy woman personifies the truly noble and worthwhile attributes of life. A faithful woman can become a devoted daughter of God—more concerned with being righteous than with being selfish, more anxious to exercise compassion than to exercise dominion, more committed to integrity than to notoriety. And she knows of her own infinite worth.- Elder Russell M. Nelson

Be Better Managers of our Resources

Remember—a positive attitude, a well-thought-out plan, and consistent self-discipline can help us improve our circumstances. Applying these keys in our daily work will help produce more income, and practicing them in our homes will help reduce expenses. When we combine these principles with keeping the commandments of God, we can learn to become better managers of our time and resources and become financially secure.-  Elder M. Russell Ballard

Self- Discipline

Practice self-discipline both at our work and as we attempt to reduce our expenses in our homes . . . Exercise self-discipline by telling ourselves “We can’t afford it” and refusing to take on further credit obligations.- Elder M. Russell Ballard

We Know Better

Too many people in our country today are developing the attitude that government is obligated to care and provide for them. In many ways, government has fostered this attitude, but the members of The Church ofJesus Christ of Latter-day Saints know better.- Elder M. Russell Ballard

Women to part Charity to Society

“The great legacy those who went before you in the Relief Society [has been] passed on to you.
The part of the foundation they laid for you which seems to me most important and persistent is that charity is at the heart of the society and is to come into the heart, to be part of the very nature, of every member. Charity meant to them far more than a feeling of benevolence. Charity is born of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and is an effect of His Atonement working in the hearts of the members.” President Henry B. Eyring
